Convergence3

DC’s latest multiverse-spanning Convergence continues into its third week. How will Earth 2’s heroes battle with Telos progress this week. And what of the newcomer Deimos who appeared at the end of last issue. How will he factor into our heroes fight? Or is he even on the side of the angels at all?

Week two of DC Comics’ “Convergence” event takes a step away from week one’s focus on pre-Flashpoint Gotham City, moving the action over to pre-Zero Hour Metropolis to catch us up with Oliver Queen and Connor Hawke. What does life under the dome and on the planet of Telos’ making have in store for this pair of archers?

One week. That’s all the time DC Comics had to wait to release the premiere issue of this new series. I can’t imagine that would have been that hard. One week, and then nobody would have had to read this one with thoughts of continuity errors in their minds. As it is, were I not writing this, I myself would have waited until next week to read Arkham Manor.

With the book’s first arc and its tragic ending now put to bed, the time has come for Jeff Lemire to push things forward. With things for the new arc not quite set up as of yet, he has chosen to do that by spending some time with Miiyahbin Marten, and giving us some much needed background on her and her powers.
