Annuals are always a bit of an odd thing in comic books. Typically stand-alone stories that don’t have a whole lot to do with the continuing narrative of the month-to-month title other than expanding upon the history and lore of the characters involved. Well, Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 certainly fits that description.
